Vanessa is an experienced psychodynamic psychotherapist, accredited and registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC), and a professional member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
She has clinical experience working in counselling settings and as a Senior Therapist within a General Psychiatry team at a private mental health hospital, where she provided intensive psychodynamic psychotherapy to acute inpatients and outpatients across both short and longer-term treatment.
Vanessa offers a warm, thoughtful and confidential space for people experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. She has particular experience working with individuals whose early life experiences continue to affect their wellbeing, as well as those experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, bereavement, relationship difficulties, issues around identity, psychosis, bipolar disorder and personality disorders.
Whatever brings someone to therapy, Vanessa aims to offer a collaborative therapeutic relationship in which they feel heard, understood and supported. Her approach seeks to explore the deeper meaning behind difficulties and to create the conditions for lasting psychological growth and change.
